Blueberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh blueberries (2 pints)
 - 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 2 teaspoons cornstarch
 - 1/3 cup water
 - 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
 
Instructions
- Combine the blueberries, sugar, vanilla extract and cornstarch in a medium saucepan.
 - Add the water and the lemon juice and bring to a boil over high heat. Stir occasionally.
 - Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the mixture begins to thicken.
 - Remove from the heat. You can serve it warm or let it cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate.
