Mango Lassi

My husband Ben and I love Mango Lassi, especially our homemade version. Most recipes online appear to be very similar since there are only 4 ingredients involved, but we love this recipe because the drink is creamy yet not too heavy and overly sweet like at some restaurants. I suppose it’s just preference. This drink is so easy to make – just throw everything in a blender. The only slightly troublesome part is getting the flesh out of the fresh mangoes. I haven’t quite figured out the most efficient way of skinning and dicing them. I guess I’ll just have to keep making Mango Lassi until I figure it out!

 

Mango Lassi

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh cubed mangoes peeled, pitted (16 ounces or 3-4 mangoes)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  • Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend well on high until smooth.
  • Serve immediately, chilled.
